ICGAB 26 August 2019 in Malang, Indonesia
ICGAB 2019
Indonesia, as tropical countries, has a highly abundant in agricultural commodities and biomass sources (or bioresources), which triggered the creation and the expansion of agroindustries. Yet, some still strives to deal with improving their environmental performance. On the other hand, growing the green economy (or bioeconomy) is becoming a strategic approach to harness biotechnology and bioscience in manufacturing towards a low carbon future. This is aimed at removing reliance on fossil fuels, as well as addressing challenges of food, energy or fuel, materials, and chemicals production, health and the environment. Furthermore, in the digitalisation 4.0 era, the integration of the internet of things in agroindustries is critically important to enhance business, support innovation, and stimulate economic growth. These opportunities may potentially to allow agroindustries in developing and using green, bio-based technologies to increase productivity and to strengthen the sustainable development.
This conference is aimed to communicate and disseminate research experiences, technology innovation, research and technology advances, as well as case studies. This event provides a scientific platform enabling both local and international academia, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, professionals, and other stakeholders to build networks, share ideas, and create research collaboration. ICGAB 2019 is hopefully boosting all participants to engage with strategies in tailoring and tackling the challenges of growing the bioeconomy and strengthening sustainable development in Indonesia.
With the success of ICGAB in 2017 and 2018, attracting more than 300 participants from different countries, this year we are proudly inviting participants to join and participate in the 3rd ICGAB on 26 August 2019 at Ijen Suites & Resort, Malang- Indonesia. ICGAB 2019 is organised by Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Brawijaya in collaboration with PERMI (Indonesian Society for Microbiology), KBI (Indonesian Biotechnology Consortium), PATPI (Indonesian Association of Food Technologist), PERTETA (Indonesian Society of Agricultural Engineering), and APTA (Indonesian Society of Agricultural Technologist).
We are also partnered with IOP Publisher to publish selected manuscripts in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science. Non-selected paper will be published in our electronic ICGAB proceeding with registered ISBN or recommended to be published in our International Journal organised by Faculty of Agricultural Technology, such as Advances in Food Science, Sustainable Agriculture and Agroindustrial Engineering (AFSSAAE).
